Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,
You are invited to attend the joint AGM of the Parent Teacher
Association (PTA) and the Board of Management (BoM) on Monday 23rd November 2015 at 8pm in the School Library. (Please
note the change in the previously reported date). It is important for each
household to attend this joint meeting to get an update on what is happening in
our school community and an outline of plans for the coming year. Teas and
coffee served beforehand.

PTA Constitutional
Amendment
The following amendment of the current PTA
Constitution is being put before the members of the PTA to be voted on at the
AGM by those present.
It is proposed to replace 5.2.2 (vi)
‘Teachers will serve a one year term on the committee’ with
‘Teachers will be elected for one year. Teachers may
go forward for election in subsequent years however no teacher may sit on the
committee for more than two consecutive years.’
This is in line with the wording for parent
representatives on the committee in 5.2.1 (v)

You can be part of the Parent Teacher Association Committee, which includes both parent and teacher representatives, by
completing the attached Nomination Form.
All parents/guardians of
children in the school are invited to put themselves forward, or to nominate
others (with their consent), for election onto the PTA Committee. All nominees must be seconded by another
parent/guardian with a child in the school.
Teacher Representatives are
nominated separately by the teachers themselves.

with some of the many events during the year, but would prefer not to be on the
PTA Committee. If you would like to be included on this list please provide
