Choosing a secondary school is a big decision for all parents of primary school children. To help you with this, the PTA has compiled information on choosing secondary schools in the area from Bray to Booterstown, as well as some closer to Dublin City Centre where some parents may be working. The information has been compiled in three parts:-

To help you with this, the PTA has compiled information on choosing secondary schools in the area from Bray to Booterstown, as well as some closer to Dublin City Centre where some parents may be working. The information has been compiled in three parts:-
1. An overview of the issues relevant to choosing a secondary school such as application and enrolment procedures. The overview deals with characteristics of secondary schools such as academic achievement, ethos, fees, gender mix, location, size, policies on behaviour, bullying, relationships & sexual education, internet use, and substance abuse, and, finally sport and extra-curricular activities.
2. Sources of information on secondary schools.
3. A list of secondary schools in our area with contact details and other key information.
The PTA cannot make recommendations on the best school for your children but we hope that the impartial information we have compiled here will inform and assist you, as well as directing you to sources of further information. This information can be downloaded here.
